We just got word…Social Justice Activist and Organizer, Shaun King will be in the San Jose office TODAY!! This man is a huge inspiration to me personally, and if you have ever had the opportunity to see him speak you know what a force he is. I highly highly recommend seizing this chance today at 4:45pm
Whew! What a Whirlwind… 9.7k Berners in the building!!!! San Jose turned out and lit it up!
I heard so many stories of first-time voters, unsure of what to do, but excited and ready to cast their vote for the Senator. I heard stories of people who were leaning support for other candidates, but convinced to attend the rally by friends, and left with conviction that would vote for Bernie. This is a MOVEMENT and WE. ARE. GOING. TO. WIN.
I want to give a special thanks to the volunteers. Of course there are many more who have been heavily involved for months who are not in this picture, and still it illustrates the magnitude of what we are doing. It takes EVERYBODY making sacrifices and committing themselves. I am constantly humbled by people’s dedication and passion and I want to say that I am so so grateful for each and every one of the wonderful people that makes the Bernie campaign special. Thank You.
BIG UPS to our Regional Field Director, Aidan Rodriguez-Swanson for leading our region over the past few months. Aidan delivered a stellar field pitch that helped turn passive supporters into active volunteers, fully participating in the Political Revolution!
March to the polls, and a canvass launch from San Jose State after casting their votes for Bernie!! We also launched over 50 NEW canvassers from the office after the rally. Truly inspiring day.
ELECTION DAY
All 110 Voting Centers open until 5pm tonight and 7am until 8pm tomorrow! Find a voting center near you
Remember, if you live in Santa Clara, you can vote at any voting center within the county.
No Party Preference Voters; First Time Registration; Third Party Registration
If a voter is anything but a registered Democrat, they need to go to a voting center, and either:
1) Register for the first time
2) Registered Independents or No Party Preference voters must request a “Crossover Democratic Ballot”
3) Update party preference- For the folks who may be registered with a party such as Green, American Independent (different than NPP), Libertarian, etc., they need to request an “Update of Political Party/Update of Residence Form”
Each of these scenarios allow the voter to receive a REGULAR (non-conditional, non-provisional) ballot, according to the new SB207 law, election code 2119.5, 2152.
